Krug Tasting with New Street Wine Shop

On Tuesday 17th November New Street Wine Shop are pairing up with Moet Hennessy to showcase a very special Krug tasting and New Street Grill dinner for 18 lucky guests. They’ll start the tasting with a presentation from Head of Business Europe at the House of Krug, Jessica Julmy, at 6.30pm. You’ll be able to taste the following exceptional champagnes:

-Krug Grande Cuvée

“Krug Grand Cuvée is the archetype of Krug’s philosophy of craftmanship and savoir faire: a blend of more than 120 wines from ten or more different years. Its exceptional finesse is the result of a stay of at least another six years in the cellars. Over twenty years are needed to craft each bottle of Krug Grande Cuvée. The first prestige cuvée re-created each year, beyond the very notion of vintage.”

-Krug Rose

“Krug Rosé is everywhere we don’t expect it to be, in terms of texture, colour and taste. It is a remarkable champagne which encapsulates the same creative spirit of Krug Grande Cuvée, again surpassing the very notion of vintage.”

-Krug Vintage 2000

“Krug 2000 is rich, precise, complex and indulgent. The house of Krug wanted to create a vintage for that last year of the Millennium, based on the unusual and climatically chaotic season. Known as gourmandise orageuse (stormy indulgence) this vintage brings together the complexity and the generosity of a very exciting year. Krug 2000 is one of the most intense, dramatic and romantic Krug vintages ever made.”

-Krug Vintage 2003

“Krug decided to create a vintage for this particular year and named it “Vivavité Solaire” (vivacious radiance) to relate an unexpected story of a hot year that surprised Krug with fruit, freshness, balance, expressiveness, vivacity and finesse, all at the same time.”
